‘Bomb’ sets opening box office record

Famed Iran actor/director Peyman Moaadi’s latest offering ‘Bomb’ has reached the No. 1 spot in its opening week with 14,240,000,000 Rials.

The 97-min fiction with the full title ‘Bomb: A Love Story’ has made box office champion in first week, beating the previous opening records.

‘Bomb: A Love Story’ has also gone down well with the audience.

“It’s 1988 and, at the height of the Iran-Iraq War, Tehran is bombed relentlessly. The days that pass are full of foreboding, and yet, love, affection, hope and life itself manage to sweep away the fear of death from those surrounded by it. Love may often be difficult to comprehend, but death is a horrible certitude,” plot summery reads.

‘Bomb, A Love Story’ shows how, even when faced with the darkness of death, love and hope will find a way.

Renowned Iran actors have starred in the movie, including Habib Rezaei, Siamak Safari, Leila Hatami, and Siamak Ansari.

The director Peyman Moaadi has also made an appearance in his own flick.

The acclaimed title has won several nominations at the latest edition of Fajr Film Festival in Iran.

It has also attended the 6th International Bosphorus Film Festival in Turkey and the 4th CineIran Festival in Canada.

‘Bomb, A Love Story’ succeeded to win Best Director Award at the 6th International Bosphorus Film Festival.
